THE NEW YORK STATE SENATE
In 2009, the New York State Senate came under control of the Democratic party. That new Senate Majority is dominated by New York City, which is why the City Legislators have voted to tax Hudson Valley families to pay for their subways, and shift school aid to the City. Regardless of what your political party, it is important to have balance in State government. These two post card graphics make clear that the Republican Senators represent the entire State, while nearly all Democratic Senators are from New York City. Help restore balance to State government. Our region supplies both electric power and water to the City and deserves to be treated as an equal. Restoring balance to State government means voting Republican in the State Senate races across New York this year.
